Elazığ Airport was opened on Saturday, 20th of October, 2012 with the participation of Turkish Prime Minister Mr. Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Mr. Binali Yildirim, some other ministers, Elazig Governor, Elazığ Mayor, other state officials and contractor company officials.
